The Topology view displays the topology configured for the current operator. You can add complexes, facilities, facility relays, yards, and quays from this view.
You must log in at a scope level higher than the entity you want to add. For example, to add a facility you must log in at the complex scope level or higher.
In addition, you can use the Actions menu to:
Export SNX File: Export the selected scope in the topology as an XML file using the snx.xsd format. If you do not select a node in the left pane, N4 exports the entire topology tree as an XML file.
Recover Obsolete: Recover deleted topologies.
To view all of the entities defined at a hierarchy level, you must log in at the same scope level or higher. For example, to view all the facilities defined for a complex, you must log in at the complex scope level or higher.
When you log in at the global scope level, you can see all the operators, facilities, yards, and quays defined for the various operators in the system.
In the Topology view, you must select an operator to add a complex, select a complex to add a facility, and select a facility to add a yard, facility relay, or quay.
To add a berth in the Berth Models view and berth a vessel, you must include the quay in the Topology view (on page 1). For more information, see N4 does not allow you to add a berth in the Berth Models view.
To add an entity below a selected hierarchy level:
Log in at a scope level higher than the entity you want to add.
In the left pane, select the hierarchy level below which you need to add an entity.
Click Add.
The Add button displays the name of the entity that you can add at the selected level. For example, if you select an operator, the Add Complex button is displayed.
If the Add... button is displayed, it indicates that you can add different types of entities at the same hierarchical level. To display the list of entity types that you can add at the selected level, click the Add... button. For example, if you select a facility in the left pane, you can add a yard, facility relay, or a quay for the selected facility.
To expand the hierarchy tree in the left pane and view the new entity, click the plus sign to the left of the selected entity.
To edit or delete an entity:
In the left pane, select the entity that you want to edit or delete.
Click Edit to edit an entity, or Cancel to delete the entity.
If you delete an entity at a higher level, all the associated entities are also deleted. For example, if you delete a facility, the associated yards are also deleted.
